Koinonia OS is designed for rapid navigation, customized role based views, and seamless multi parish switching. This guide explains how to navigate the user interface effectively.
Tip: Press Cmd + K (macOS) or Ctrl + K (Windows) anywhere in the application to launch the global Command Palette for instant search across members, events, forms, and tools.
When you log in, Koinonia OS automatically renders a dashboard tailored to your highest active role:
Member Dashboard: Displays upcoming church liturgies, personal event registrations, quick QR code for kiosk check-in, recent announcements, and giving summary.
Servant / Teacher Dashboard: Highlights today's class check-ins, unrecorded attendance sessions, group message alerts, and upcoming volunteer roster assignments.
Priest Dashboard: Summarizes confidential pastoral absence cases, scheduled sacramental services, confession appointments, and weekly parishioner attendance health.
Treasurer Dashboard: Displays live monthly donation counters, pending expense approvals, fund balances, and recent bank ledger matches.
Admin Dashboard: Offers top-level metrics on total parish population, active Sunday School attendance, active ministries, and platform audit logs.

The Command Palette allows you to perform actions instantly without clicking through menus:
Press Cmd + K or Ctrl + K on your keyboard.
Type a search term (e.g., "John Mark", "Liturgy Registration", or "Submit Expense").
Use your arrow keys to select a result and press Enter to jump directly to the target page or launch a quick action modal.

If you belong to multiple churches within a diocese or serve across multiple parishes:
Click the Church Switcher drop-down menu in the top left header bar.
Select the target church from your accessible parish list.
Koinonia OS will immediately reload your session, refreshing all metrics, rosters, and data caches to the selected parish.
Important: Switching active churches automatically updates your permissions and data context. Your actions will only affect the currently selected parish.
